Hello on the 3rd-4th of July the BitFin conference will take place in
Dublin.

There is a Hackathon for developers scheduled
(http://dublin.bitcoinathon.com/) directly following the conference on
the weekend of 5th-6th.

This is a social and educational event where developers will form teams
and attempt to build a working prototype of a product/service that uses
blockchain technology, all during a single weekend. The hackathon will
be run in conjunction with the BitFin conference and expo that will take
place in the RDS. A typical prototype will improve the security and
usability of existing blockchain technologies (e.g. bitcoin, namecoin,
etc...). Participants will also be encouraged to experiment beyond these
existing technologies. The goal of the hackathon is to generate interest
and understanding of this exciting new technology in the Irish software
development community.
